Bad pilling & drying Issue. BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA PLEASE!

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I'm a Licensed Esthetician who has an allergy to Titanium Dioxide. So when I found this sunscreen with Zinc Oxide only that was hydrating (I'm referring to the OLD formula), I had found the miracle sunscreen I had been searching for, for years. After the formula was changed, I'm now searching for yet, another Zinc Oxide only HYDRATING sunscreen because it's over drying my skin and causing me to breakout. PLEASE go back to the old formula or bring it back IN ADDITION to the new formula and market it as "dewy coverage" vs "matte coverage". You make incredible products (cleansers, facial oils, etc.) however, this one IS NOT a winner.

Ruined a good thing

When I received this, I was shocked that the product was now half the size. Not only that, but the new formula is trash and just keeps piling. This was the ONLY mineral sunscreen that worked on my skin tone. Now I will have to find another one. Very annoyed.

My favorite facial SPF

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I loved the original version and I'm fine with the revision. Really my favorite SPF for my face. As others have mentioned, I'm really disappointed in the size of the new product. The original was 3.38 oz. and the new version is 1.7 oz. Also, it's very difficult to squeeze out the end of the tube. This is frustrating.

Good coverage, bad pilling issue

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I'm not sure why there was a need to "revitalize" this sunscreen into a "better" version. While the texture feels nice on the skin, if you rub it in too much or long or add something on top of it (make up primer, etc.) it immediately starts to "pill" and leaves a bunch of white flakes on my face. Not a fan.

Decent sunscreen bad value

I used the old formula a lot and it was one of my favs. Something about it was giving people dermatitis so I get the reformulation. They upped the zinc in the newer stuff so it’s thicker and spreads less far but should protect more. The issue is that you’ll need to apply a good bit of it for proper coverage and sun protection. Low % physical spf just isn’t the product where a drop will do it. At the same time they stopped offering a jumbo size and increased the price on the smaller bottle. I like a lot of biossance stuff but with so few days of use I can’t recommend their sunscreen at this price.

I think Harry Styles wrote a song about this product

You know it's not the same as it was. This new formula dries my skin out. Actually kind of glad the size is smaller so I can get through it and find a new brand.

Disappointed

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've been a loyal customer of Biossance, but I think it's time to say bye. I can't believe they changed the formula, decreased the size of the bottle and INCREASED the price on a lot of their products. Please go back to the original formula and increase the bottle size. A couple of products have been revamped over te last 4 years. I'm looking into buying SKINCEUTICALS. They're a little more expensive but I heard this brand is excellent!!!!

NEW, NOT IMPROVED

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Raising the price while offering a smaller tube to purchase was asking a lot of loyal paying customers. Why did this happen? Similar to so many customers here, I had tried and loved the original Biossance SQUALANE + ZINC SHEER MINERAL SUNSCREEN. The original formula went on smoothly, was sheer once applied and kept my skin evenly protected, moisturized and cool all day long. No irritation, burning or peeling occurred while I went through many different sized tubes over 2 and a half years. Upon trying out this new formulation (as there is no other option) for a month now, I cannot say it is an improvement. This new sunscreen does not apply evenly and occasionally pills. Once applied, my skin feels hot underneath. By the end of the day it is tight and obviously dry with redness. I have tried different skincare routines while switching out products. It is definitely the sunscreen causing irritation. From my experience with both formulations the original was far superior. Due to how expensive this product is, I will finish it as a body sunscreen sparingly. I will not be repurchasing this product.
