Squalane is the powerhouse ingredient at the heart of every Biossance formula. It's bioidentical to the moisture found in human skin, making it weightless and instantly absorbed and perfect for use all over the body. Our squalane is derived from sustainable sugarcane, a purer, vegan, more ethical, and more effective version than other forms of squalane. And since it replaces the need for similar moisture taken from the livers of sharks, it saves millions of these critical apex predators per year.
- Squalane oil for the face instantly hydrates and locks in essential moisture.
- Helps boost the absorption of other active ingredients and enables them to work more effectively.
- Promotes microbiome diversity for healthier-looking skin.
- Size: 100mL/3.4oz

JUST ONE INGREDIENT:
Squalane Oil: Weightless, hydrating and high-performing oil, sustainably sourced from sugarcane. Replenishes lost-moisture, helps to maintain hydration and leave the skin exceptionally soft.
1. WHERE DOES YOUR 100% SQUALANE COME FROM? WHY SUGARCANE AND NOT OLIVES?
Traditionally Squalane was harvested from shark liver, though our scientists spent years developing pure Squalane from 100% plant-based, renewable sugarcane. The quality of Squalane produced from olives depends on unreliable factors like weather and crop growth. The quality and purity of our sugarcane Squalane is stable and cost effective.
2. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SQUALANE AND SQUALENE?
The human body produces SqualEne. Squalene is part of our skin's own natural moisture, but the amount made and retained in your skin decreases over time. Our Squalane is a hydrogenated version of Squalene which makes it more suitable for sensitive skin. Additionally, our sugarcane-derived Squalane is a sustainable alternative to the historical production method of squalene from shark liver. Our background in biotechnology allows us to create products that are effective and sustainably sourced wherever possible.
3. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 100% SQUALANE OIL AND SQUALANE + VITAMIN C ROSE OIL? DO I NEED BOTH?
While they both contain super hydrating Squalane, our Vitamin C Rose Oil also contains...(you guessed it!) Vitamin C and rose essential oil, making it suitable for facial use. Our 100% Squalane Oil can be used head-to-toe as an all-over body, face and hair hydrator.
How To Use: Apply to face, body and hair as needed. Great after the shower and post-sun exposure. Safe for all ages.
For face, rub a small amount together between hands to warm. Pat gently onto face, neck and décolleté. For body, massage a few pumps onto skin immediately after showering. For hair, rub a small amount between hands and smooth through dry or wet hair to add shine and tame flyaways, split ends and frizz.
When To Use: Day and night, head-to-toe.
Layering Tip: Start with your cleanser, next, apply eye treatment, follow with a serum and finally your moisturizer. Apply 100% Squalane Oil last to lock in hydration.

Great for dry skin
I got this as a sample size, and am definitely going to reorder. I have very dry skin, and occasionally eczema around my eyes. This is the most weightless oil I’ve ever tried. It sinks right in. I’ve been using it for about a week now and can see an improvement and a great glow.

Love it
I like it because I can moisturize my face without worrying about any of it running into my eyes. It’s scent free as well. The glow is amazing. Love it.

I have Hashimotos disease which causes an under active thyroid leading to a lot of issues including dry skin. This oil has been a amazing! I use it on my entire body, I would buy a 20oz bottle if it was available.

So soft
I really like this oil...it left my skin feeling super soft. I had bad breakouts on my forehead after using for a few days but once it clears up, I'll try using it again to see if the breakout was from the oil or from my hair products.

All around need!
YES, YES, YES. I use this right my showers and pat dry! It gives just a glow and the oil isn’t sticky or super “oily”. It feels like a a serum or lotion and locks in moisture! I highly recommend getting this! I also use it for the bottom ends of my hair!

I have combination oily skin. This didn't work for me. Didn't break me out just made me shiny. My sister has dry skin and loved it.
